i have an iLap, got it on sale at Frys and i love it. keeps my MBP comfortable while sitting and using the laptop. no heat issues then too 🙂

Design, marketing, materials.

Regardless of this, it's a wonderful product. I choked on the price as well, but it had all the features I wanted in a notebook (laptop) desk, so I took the plunge.

I have been very pleased with mine, used with both a 15" PB and a 15" MBP.

While an IKEA cutting board might do the trick functionally, the iLap does a much better job getting the computer off your lap and at the right height and angle.

Just my $0.02.

Because they want to make money. I don't think it's worth the money IMO. But if you're well off I'm sure you can dish out the cash with no problem.

I purchased 2 iXoft by thermaltake. Its light weight and it keeps everything cooooool 😀
