Hello All!

I just submitted a new app to the App Store -- iLED Light

This utilizes the iPhone 4's new rear flash to be used as a conventional flashlight!

Here is a video I put together to show it off!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9zaHL2ImxM

Here is a quick list of features:

  • Instantly lights on when app opens
  • Easy to use interface: 2 light switch modes, one big button!
  • Camera View: easy access to see what the camera sees
  • iOS 4 Fast App Switching: seamlessly switch between apps fast and keep your settings

Also make sure to watch the video link above, I show a sneak peek of the new feature, Strobe Light, that will be released in the next version of iLED Light!

iLED Light will be on sale in the App Store for $0.99!!!

I will also be giving away some free copies on MacRumors as soon as it goes live!!! So keep an eye out!!!!

Also, please leave me any comments or feedback!!! I like to hear what you would like in the next version!!! 😀

Check our website: http://dgmobileapps.com/iledlight/
I will be adding videos for future features!!!!

Thanks,

Tristan

I know its not relevant to a flashlight but now that apps can run in the background is it possible to use the LED as a message indicator?

Yes and NO

That would be a nice feature, and it could work with the right programming, but it would not be able to be access the message system of the OS, in other words these are private APIs, and that is a big NO NO 😛 It could work for an app that receives it own messages, like AIM or something along those lines

Maybe in the future!!!!

Darn, I really miss that feature from my Blackberry. Thanks for the quick response, been wondering this for a while.

Ha nice name....

I submitted LED iLight last Friday. Been in review for a while now. Hopefully Apple lets us through!

Acceptance

I've got my fingers crossed that we see at least one of these into the App store. As long as our dev's have done everything by the book, i don't know why they won't let them in. I guess we'll see...

😉:apple:

Yeah we are hoping they will be available, the only reason why it may not be is due to how Apple approaches it, in such they may feel that these apps are not utilizing the flash "properly" which would be for camera use only. We will have to see, I hope mine gets approved as I am sure others hope as well!

Thanks,

Tristan
