Ilife 10.

Assuming that Ilife 10 and the new mbp's will be released on january 26/27, if I bought the new mbp on that day that they are released would it come preinstalled with Ilife 10 or would it just come as a disk that I would have to install?

Yes, because if iLife '10 and new MBPs are released, they both have been already in production and will have been done mastering (software) and finished last year most probably.

Maybe if Apple release new software (they probably will) The iLife you have now should work fine for most things however.

iLife 10' is actually iLife X. As is iWork.
