Am I missing something here? How come we haven't seen nor heard anything about 2010 version of these apps? If I recall correctly, they're historically out by now.
There was no iWork or iLife in 2007. It doesn't have to happen every year just because there's a year in the name. Apple have also dropped the '09 suffix from both iLife and iWork, implying there will be no release for some time.
They are not updated every year and looks like because of Snow Leopard and iPad, Apple just had no time to develop them enough so we'll likely see iLife '11 and iWork '11 next year

Generally apple has released iLife/iWork annually but there have been occasions where they skipped a year. Given the fact that we're now in the second quarter of 2010, I'd say we'll not see a 2010 version for the application suites.
Nope, we generally see an OS update 18 months where as prior ilife apps were generally released annually. Plus they were available at the beginning of the year and OSX was released during the summer or later.
Someone may have already stated this, but I predict that it will be released August 10, 2010. That's if history proves as an indicator. They seem to always release on Tuesday of the second week of the month whether it be 12 months or 18 months from the previous upgrade. The only exception, I believe, being the intial release.
