The trial of iWork is the exact same as the retail version in terms of content.

The trial of iWork 09 needs a serial number if you want to keep using it after the 30 days. 🙂
The retail version of iWork 09 is just install... no serial anymore..! 😱😎

One difference between the two in your headline is that there is no trial version of iLife, but what everybody else said about iWork is true- the trial is fully featured.
