I'll be getting a MacBook . . .

So I'll be getting a MacBook once updates are released. It will be replacing my 2GHz CD iMac as my main machine, and also be hooked up to a 24" Dell display.

I really needed portability, but couldn't justify the extra cash for the MBP, so I've decided to let the MacBook tide me over until I can get some money to achieve a more powerful setup.

My current to-buy list is such:

New MacBook
Dell 2407WFP
Speakers (haven't decided yet)
Wired Keyboard (to replace my Logitech)
Second External HD

Anything else you guys would care to recommend or inform me of?

I'm likely going to be making the exact same purchase...but only if we get a SR refresh soon...otherwise, I'll go for the 15" MBP.

I would recommend a laptop stand for easier dual screen viewing, better ventilation and a little extra space to store the external HDs etc.

I'd recommend that you get a ZeroShock laptop case for it, just to protect it in case of a fall.

I second the ZeroShock case. They are truly top notch. I don't buy a laptop without one.

Or you could go with a Signature Suit that will also protect your MacBook while you are using it.
