Speaking of MJ, WHERE IS HE?! It's been at least 20 seconds (more like 3 days) since he's been active!!!  :apple:

Is this a record?

He did it at least once before I think that it is when they upgrade his software to post even faster.  ;)

7. Do what I am doing now. Instead of editing my post, I am typing a new one.

8. Ask Mad Jew for a change. If you take 100 posts as a dollar, then I don't think he'll refuse to give you a few pucks as a charity to the poor.

P.S. Number 8 is the reason of this reply. :D

Thanks, I'll be sure to look at all of your posts for spam, since you've alerted me. ;)

I'll probably never have a 100 post count... I'm pretty new to Apple so more than likely won't have alot to say in the Apple specific threads to get up to 100 posts.

If you're new to Apple, shouldn't it the reverse? Anyway, enough of this pessimism!

Start posting away...!

1. You can reply in every thread with 'I don't know, but I'll ask for you' or with something like 'Where did you get this info from' or even 'thank you & a smile'

2. You can reply to each person separately thanking them.

3. You can open stupid thread like 'How can I switch my laptop without using a battery & without an electric cord or even?' or 'When is G5 Powerbook coming?' :p

4. You can post your desktop wallpaper everyday. This will add up to 30 per month + google for cool pictures & add them to February pictures thread. :D

5. You can answer people question even if you don't really know it and then discuss how stupid they are giving fake information.

6. Praise :apple: or show your frustration at MicroZift where ever necessary. It's never too little in this forum.
*Pencil scribbleing* Good stuff, good stuff :D

Slow, maybe it is the subject.

I'm quite sure FXRS would fling verbal vomit with the best of them in the political forum.

The quite ones are always trouble when you finally get them to speak.

Maybe we will get lucky and he will be a conservative. Not enough of those around here.:D

lmao at all the replies!!!!

I have argued with a brick wall one enough occasions. lol

About people be cruel and poking the weak with a stick...... I think I'll fit in just fine.

Looks as though I might be a little more conservative than most in the political threads but its all good. World wouldn't operate right if everything was all one sided. :D

Thanks again for all the suggestions and I'll take the 100 post offered too. :D

Thermal Paste!!! You have Thermal Paste here!!!! OMG!!!!!! I've found heaven!!!!!!

:p ;) :D

It looks as though this thread is headed for Wasteland. Oops. :D

I have already had a warning from WildCowboy about post-number-pushing and had my sig removed...I'm trying to be more careful but the problem is that I don't really know anything...;)

Ok, so I put out a search in the forums to figure out what it is, and for once I couldn't find an answer to my question.....

What exactly is a troll?

And I feel like I'm in the same boat- I know enough about Macs that in reading a lot of posts that I do a search for, I can usually solve my problems. But I know little enough that I joined this forum for some Mac help. I feel like I will never reach enough posts to get "ahead" on here...

jen221 and FXRS, let me just congratulate you 2 on learning quite possibly the biggest rule here on MR: Search.

I know it's silly, but a lot of people (and not just newbies) don't know how to use the MR search feature. They post new threads like "How Do I...?" And the answer is in the thread just below. So on behalf of many people here at MR, thanks. :)

Wikipedia knows all..

"In Internet terminology, a troll is a person who enters an established community such as an online discussion forum and intentionally tries to cause disruption, often in the form of posting messages that are inflammatory, insulting, incorrect, inaccurate, or off-topic, with the intent of provoking a reaction from others."

wow that would explain a lot in many different forums that I use daily. thanks! and I always tend to forget about good old wikipedia.... thanks for that too! :p

Well I figure I feel stupid enough already by asking some of the questions I have. I may as well not make it worse by doing something as obvious as that

Oh you'd be surprised. :)

And BTW, for posting replies to multiple quotes, you can click the "+" button next to the "quote" button to add posts to your reply. So if you have 2 people you want to quote, you'd click the + button for the first one (or more) and the quote button on the second one (or whichever one is last). Then you can reply to 2 quotes in one post (good forum etiquette for the future).
