So I notice illuminated keyboards are on the macbook pros but what about the iMacs wireless keyboards?

How com they don't offer this?

No, the Apple Wireless Keyboard is not illuminated. It would shorten battery life too much.

Yeah I know it doesn't have one but I'm trying to figure out why apple don't offer this option. as for battery life I can see this as the reason.

But it goes the same way with illuminated keyboards on a macbook pro, which also drains the battery life.

The battery on a MBP is significantly more powerful than the AA batteries in the wireless keyboard. Plus, a MBP can be plugged in, where the keyboard can't.

If you want an illuminated wireless keyboard, Logitech makes one. Yeah, sure, it's all shiny and aluminum-y like the the Apple keyboard, but it's available. I have the wired version and I love it.
