Sounds simple enough - backup and replace 2 files in the .app package. However, this update hosed my AI install. Rolling back to the original files does not resolve the issue.

Illustrator is the buggiest of the 4 in the CS. Been waiting for this update for a while...

Still, Adobe are usually pretty swift (compared to Quark) about fixing stuff.

Edit: Mind you, don't expect a lot -- they're gearing up for CS2
(enough already!)

The readme says that this update is supposed to fix an "unexpected quit" when opening a palette and resolves a conflict with Norton. So I don't think whatever serious bugs people are experiencing are getting resolved prior to CS2. I'm kinda concerned about CS2 anyway - I hope they don't pull a Studio MX 2004 on us.
