I've been experimenting with LiveTrace and Paint in Illustrator CS4. They are great tools, but I'm now wondering how I could make illustrations in this way that are not in the "outliney" style.

I'm starting with a scanned pencil or ink drawing, doing a LiveTrace and then Paint.

I know I can have a colour outline, but how about no outline?

I could Expand the drawing, select the outline, then delete it, then scale up the fill areas, but that seems clumsy.

    Any ideas/examples?

    Cheers,
    Donn

Obviously I was looking for some way of not doing it by hand.

And thats why you had to ask the question...you thought there was an automated way that looks as good as the hand-done way...there isnt.
