Unless you're being sarcastic, you do know he's just an actor right? In his next movie he could be playing a drug user. Or a serial killer. For all we know, he's a drug using serial killer in real life.

Apple probably did pick him because he's kinda like the Dell dude... only, you know, less annoying.

this "mac dude" reminds me a lot of the "dell dude" from years past..

...Except that the "mac dude" is talented enough to make the Apple commercials genuinely entertaining alongside his (perfectly cast, IMO) PC counterpart.
