So, I ordered my iPhone on saturday. It came in yesterday, but I might get it tomorrow. Should I wait for official word of the recall from apple or pick it up. Will I get a new phone for free if they recall it?

does anyone know what time the press conference is for?

How it the hell?.... If I may: what size and where did you order it from that you got it so quickly. Mine is STILL on order from apple.com

Go pick it up. We won't know if there will even be a recall till Apple tells us.

No, Apple told me that if they were going to do a recall they were going to recall everyone's phones apart from yours. Sorry. :(

Just pick it up. If there's going to be a recall you can just hand it in again, if you want to.

There is no recall.

As for the crying. Let it all out. There are a few members of MR who 'cry' all the time :)

Got my phone 6 days ago. No noticeable signal issues BTW. Drops a bit if I deathgrip it, but so does my 3GS and my Droid.

:D. Nice to see a bit of levity and someone with a sense of humor. Too many of the posters here are entirely too worked up over this phone.

As long as I don't offend the OP and some people still have a sense of humor, I'm a happy camper.

In all seriousness, just pick it up - if anything it will be a voluntary recall. However, you can take comfort in knowing that unless these iPhones are exploding there will not be a recall.

I hope this is a joke....
Life has far more things to worry about than crying for your iphone 4.
