This isn’t going to be quite what you think, I would love an option of colour icons in the clear appearance. But to be honest I’ve now got used to it.

My issue is in places like Settings, all the icons have turned grey. For some reason when you select clear mode Apple decides everything must be grey, making it harder to use.

The other area is App Library. Maybe give us a toggle but personally I want default colour icons here so I can quickly identify icons I’m less familiar with.

Anyone else have similar thoughts?

Also would love a colored clear option, where the icons are translucent, but still retain their colors. It sure is quite more difficult to find an app, if everything is the same color.

Are you thinking the squircle as clear with the icon elements in colour, or just applying translucency to the icons as they are? Using Facebook as example, the “f” would be blue on a clear squircle, versus the existing white “f” on blue squircle being translucent is that makes sense.

(Very) basically like this:

Imagine it with an added glassy effect to the Notes icon.
