Today was the last straw. AT&T service is the culprit. After standing outside today with my iPhone 4 in-hand showing me I had 4 bars with 3G service, nothing was working. Google maps wasn't loading, couldn't browse safari, apps weren't refreshing, all this during the time I needed my phone the most. Hate started building up and it just became obvious I need a new phone EVO 4G Here I come.

I'm no longer impressed. I've been with AT&T since day one of the first iPhone. It's been nothing but non-sense. iPhone 3G to iPhone 3Gs, come on what type of scam is that?? I'm done.
 
Everyone has to make individual choices about their phones based on a number of factors: cost, features, and carrier coverage. Carrier coverage is not the same in all areas, and if your area is better served by another carrier, then it makes sense to make a change.

Many of us, myself included, have excellent coverage with AT&T. Hopefully your new phone will meet your needs.

I just want to make sure that we're on the same page, I was just barely starting to get used to you, newbie, I mean Booju16, I would hate to see you go.
 
Love my iPhone as an Internet device, biggest POS phone ever and AT&T in the bay area sucks!!!!! People who tell you otherwise need to get their head out of thier ass!!
 
When did the confusion that forums are a FaceBook, twitter type of expression outlet??
I had Pizza and Beer for lunch, the crust was chewy, then I called my wife :D

If you can offer to break your contract after a couple of months, go for it. EVO away.

It was a "scam" for 3 years and you fell for it each and every year. Not to mention the cost of upgrading to every iPhone model.:(

I have found occasionally this happens (even with my 3G). Rarely, but it does. And I find restarting the iphone solves this (seems like it does occasionally crash). Anyways, honestly, I think this is more a problem of the iphone crashing than AT&T.

Agreed, if a phone doesn't meet your needs, then you'd be foolish to keep it.

I'm from Vallejo and don't have any issues with my service. Maybe it's time to go with a provider that suits you better?

this happened to me a few hours ago. I live in NJ but I was in edgewater by NYC when it happened.
 
Dude, blame New York, don't blame At&t.

For those that are surprised that people choose based on phones are refusing to take into account that the iphone changed the game and is in a league of its own -bypassing the order of importance of carrier on the shopping priority list.

The Evo just wont work out, the interface is just not sexy enough...

Think about it, you've been spoiled for years now...
