simple.

IR blaster.

That way you can control the Apple TV and interact more than the remote app.

Anyone wanna call what they think will be the "selling point" besides better camera, quicker, the normal updates etc.

I'd like to see an integrated tape deck so I can play all my recorded music on my iPhone. Right now I'm limited to lossy digital files and not the high fidelity audio recordings you can only get from cassette.

I know at least 6 people with IR blasters in their phones combined they have all used it zero (0) times. My electronics are all controlled via my network/WiFi since it 2015 and all.

Not a big features but control the volume of different things like ringtone or text separately. Turn off vibrate in the alarm only. Two great features.

I'm just saying. They're gonna take something old and call it a "feature". Whole post is tongue in cheek if you hadn't noticed.
The "New" AppleTV seems to have been developed and delayed well over a year ago which is why it already feels due for an upgrade even though it's not out yet.

So considering how much is missing from the AppleTV then you could have done much much better.

(BTW. A practical AppleTV/iPhone feature for Apple to "invent" is unlocking the damn NFC chip that's been in our phones.

Imagine if the AppleTV had an NFC settings built in where you could simply tap your phone to it and it turns into a controller/remote.

But I guess that sort of "thinking" is too "different" for Apple nowadays.)

Actually, I would bet the iPhone 7 will not have a home button. With 3-D touch along with the improved fingerprint sensor, a home button will no longer be needed.

Nope. It'll be FM radio. Maybe AM, too. It'll also let you connect to 20 ft ham radio antennas via $699 Bluetooth adapter. Everything you ever wanted to do in 1969 will be possible again. Wirelessly. Retro future is in.
