Ok I really like iChat but the thing is there is no support for yahoo and msn messenger. I am curious on what people are using or is there a 3rd party addon for iChat that will allow more protocols? Thanks

I use Adium too. But when I start using mercury for video, it mostly doesn't work, or shows a blue transparent layer...

There's actually an official MSN client for the Mac from Microsoft;

http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/messenger/default.mspx

I can't vouch for how well it works though as I don't use MSN.

I use it as I can't seem to get Adium to do an equivalent of Windows Live's 'Appear Offline' (tried Invisible, people still see me). And I like native apps so the others are out of the window.

It's basic, I'll say that, but I'm a no-frills kind of guy so it works for me. The few people that I really want to A/V with; I use Skype.

Whatever works for you, OP.
