Sorry, a bit late replying to this one, but I go by my experiences, not what I've read on the internet. I can attest to Apple Refurbs, they're solid. I'm sure there have been issues reported over the years, but all the same, just because I see a few bad reviews of something, doesn't sway me to the point of avoiding it altogether. I've seen a lot of positive feedback on refurbs as opposed to negative. ;)
Sorry, I’m not interested in a refurbished model.

Hi Clix Pix. I just sent you a message. LOL. As for everyone else. I just ordered a new (unrefurbished) MBA. I’ve had a bit of trouble with one site on my phone. So I hope the one I chose won’t be a problem.

I’m waiting on your reply to our private messages. It’s an annoying nusance. I’ll explain in the Private Message. I’m so close, yet so far away.... 😕

I might be replying here. My replies keep doubling in Private message. I sent one to you earlier, I just went back to check for replies and what I typed was still there waiting to be sent....

I've done that before, forgotten to actually send a post after I had written. Sometimes I'll be interrupted or distracted and then neglect to actually hit the "post reply" button and the message still sits there until the next time I'm in MR and notice that I hadn't sent anything yet.

I received my new MBA yesterday, and its awesome. Right now I am currently downloading my music from iCloud. It might take all day since I have a lot of music to download.

Apparently, people in my own family or relatives bought refurb items and were less than enthused.... It was brought up when I started looking. So, yeah, I am saving myself the hassle.

The important thing here is that each of us has the prerogative to make the choices we want to make, especially when it comes to spending a fair amount of money, and we each have our own priorities, needs and wishes.

A-M-K, enjoy your new MBA -- I'm glad you've got it in your hands now and can begin enjoying all the benefits of a new, fast machine that is replacing your older 2012 one which worked hard for you all these years.....

Thank you. I am noticing a big difference, I am still getting used to things. Like, for instance, the keys don't stick out as much as what they did on my MBP's. I am always correcting spelling too. (I have to get used to having a lighter machine on the lap desk I always used since 2008!) This might sound silly, but I am anticipating the first song on my Apple Music play list to hit 100. (It's never happened. I haven't been able to keep a MacBook long enough.)

I have to convert my Apple Music to mp3 files so I can add them to my iPod nano. (5th generation) What happens when I convert them? Will a new list be made or will they go to the list of songs that were added when selected from Apple Music?

ARM apples are coming soon. I don’t think I would be investing in intel MBA’s or MBP’s now. Even if you say you want intel bootcamp. Bootcamp is not an excuse its a poor support version for Windows. VM will be the only and better method. I don’t mean to be a Debbie downer but a year from now you will wish you had the ARM apple laptop vs the Intel apple laptop.

I sent my MBA packing back, luckily with a 90 day Costco return window. Picked up a 11” iPad Pro and magic keyboard. It’s 25% faster multi core than my i7 MBA and 10% faster graphics. Just imagine what the new Apple ARM laptop performance will be in less than a year.

I'm extremely happy with what I currently have, thank you. Though. I do have one question. I was trying to create mp3 files for my iPod nano. I have done it, but I can't figure out how to add them to a list. Can someone help me, please?

I think I found my answer to how to convert my Apple Music files to .mp3 files. I'll have to try tomorrow.

Some people hesitate to be on the cutting edge, they prefer not to be first to adopt something new, and especially when it's totally brand-new such as the whole ARM Macs thing will be. I'm sure there will be a few glitches and this-and-that in the beginning, when the first ARM Macs are released. A lot depends, too, upon what one does with their machine, and those who depend upon it for work and important school research and documents or for using special software related to their work or research projects probably really need to stick with an Intel-based Mac for a while. As for Bootcamp and such, if I wanted to use Windows (which I sure don't!) I'd simply pick up a cheap Windows machine for that purpose rather than mess around with it on a Mac.

I am happy with my 2018 MBP and am looking forward to seeing what the new ARM machines will bring, but I'm perfectly content, too, to sit out the first and maybe second rounds of the new computers, let others go through all the growing pains!

A-M-K, glad you've found the solution to your question about the mp3 files! Hope all goes well and you're able to get things set up the way you want in your new MBA!

Thanks, however, I can't add them, unless I have to go to the main list with all the songs on it and add from there. I don't know. I'll look around.
