Why not post one of these?

On my system (still running Jaguar) I can read my logs using Console... so why would you send someone to the Terminal instead of just opening the logs in Console?yellow said:Ummmmm.... because that wasn't supported in the Jaguar Console.app like it is in the Panther Console.app.
In this case it had been by Jaguar and is a better choice for helping people with troubleshooting. We are trying to help people, right? Why send people to the terminal when there were two easy to use GUI alternatives available? 😱Not everything has to be GUIfied for your safety.

Maybe if you wait until 2006-2007 you'll be able to get a 3.5 GHz (3500 MHz, 10x what you've got now) iMac for about the same price as your 350 MHz iMac. Talk about a serious power boost! Sure, unexpected quits are annoying, but most of the time they're caused by software bugs - report these to the software developers and they can hopefully get the problem fixed. Speaking of reporting unexpected quits, QuickTime Player quits randomly on me when I try to play certain MIDI files. I submitted a bug report to Apple, but they closed it because they could not reproduce the problem.thomasp said:I get quite a few "Unexpectedly Quit" messages (sometimes not even that, just the application closing for no reason) in OS9.2.1, but the only application that does this is: Internet Explorer 5.1.x (tried all verisons, even 5.1.7, and they all unexpectedly quit at random intervals, sometimes taking the entire computer with it, forcing a restart).
However, since I downloded Mac Messenger 3.4, and I run it alongside IE5.1.7 and Athena IRC2.0.2, the Finder has sometimes unexpectedly quit (completely random - no pattern), which then causes everything to lock up and me to reboot.
If it wasn't for my iMac only having a 350MHz processor, and most of my apps needing more powerful processors in OSX (if they actually run in X!), I'd upgrade right now.
