I'm having MAJOR problems after 10.5.5 update!

I cannot open Safari or anything else for that matter without getting the spinning beach ball for minutes at the time! I have checked and repaired permissions, reseated memory...I don't have a clue. Can someone help me?

P.S. I installed the combo update.

Can you get Activity Monitor running to see what's eating your CPU power?

You can also try to re-install the update.

I can't do anything while the beach ball is spinning. I have activity monitor open now but it does it mainly after wake from sleep.
