iPod touch i'm having problems getting videos on my ipod touch

i've tried to put videos on my itouch through itunes and when i convert the videos for ipod i can get the videos on the itouch but i can get any sound at all.😱..and i'm wondering if anyone knows how to put them on there with sound lol also what would some good programs be that i could use to rip dvds onto the computer? j/w thanks 🙂
