It should be on your bill... did you actually look at your detailed bill before coming to ask us? :p

It's probably the $35 activation fee, if you're a new customer. After that, there will be fees and surcharges -- your bill will never be $50.97. It will probably end up being around what you paid this month - $35, or about $54. This is true of all postpaid service plans from all US providers.

    For reference, my bill is $39.99 (phone) + $4.99 (SMS) + $19.99 (Data) = $64.97, actual bill $69.50....

As discussed before (yes, I use T-Mobile), the $5.99 is technically for WAP access on non-smartphones like the RAZR, and the $19.99 plan is for EDGE + Hotspot access on smartphones like the Q, etc.

This morning, using iphonenetworktest.com, it was around 250kbps. Just now it was 217kbps.... It does sometimes slow to the mid 100s....

LOL we had this same conversation verbatim in another thread. If you want the "proper" data services package, just call them and tell them you have an iPhone. They'll set it up for you quite happily. Their CSRs even all seem to have the same cheerful banter about the iPhone, suggesting that they've specifically been trained to deal with customers coming in with iPhones. They didn't bat an eyelash.
