I don't think you'll be satisfied with any of the voices out there unless your into girls with no emotion or character in their voice

He's not so new. He joined in November 2008, but he may have had his medication changed. I think that we have become so imbued with Waloshin though, that another one pushes the limits.

There's an option for 15 minutes? I have mine read aloud every hour and sometimes it startles me (I startle easily). I don't know if every 15 minutes would annoy me or startle me more often.
But, FWIW, I like the man's voice that's reading it out loud. It's the default voice. Though, a younger male voice would be nice.

Yes, there is that option.
I have HAL (my iMac) tell me the time on the half-hour, in the 'new' voice for Leopard, Alex. As of this release he was the least mechanical of the choices.
Unless I'm running HAL though my audio system, I don't hear it, for I have muted the internal speakers.
I like the old-fashioned FM stations, particularly the ones with no commercials.
But if using iTunes/YouTube/Web-Casts I do hear the time.
Unless you swing both ways, we'll need some sort of orientation.
Congratulations on getting Wastelanded as well. By the way, you aren't wasted are you? My own posting tends to get a bit weird when I've been ingesting psychotropic substances, but I am happy to say I've been virtually sober and fag free for several weeks now, although the patches give me a nice little high.

It's bad? It must be a question of orientation and which way you like to swing. You do have to admit they can be very entertaining and what can be better than entertainment.
I don't know, I would think that majority of the posters here would have better things to do than create trash posts that get thrown away.

was looking for a female voice. the options in the second post seem quite nice, but 30USD seems kinda steep.

Since when is 30USD a lot of money for you? What are you, working class?
I spend money on what matters (today it was skiing and champagne). however, i dont see how a 30 USD voice is worth it, from my perspective.
