So I had my early 2008 MBP replaced by apple back in January. It's at 100 cycles and...... still at 100% health! Holy crap this thing is amazing! I've calibrated and everything and it's still chugging along. Is everyone else also getting these results?

Mine has 99% health after a year and a half of use, it can hold 2-2.5 hours if I put the brightness to minimum and turn the WiFi off. It's a late 2008 Unibody MBP. It's okay for me, but it's nowhere near those 5 hours that Apple advertised.

I also had my battery replaced recently for our 2008 pre uni MBP (Apple Care). It's a Sony battery and it blows the original that was in that MBP away.

What mfg of battery did you use to get those kind of numbers? Was it an apple original battery or an OEM equivalent?

Please tell me you're joking.

That battery is from a 17" uMBP. It has a capacity of 13000 mAh. CoconutBattery is reporting it wrong by saying it only has 1300

I had mine replaced as well. But both were made by Sony. I thought they all were....

Not always the case. Indeed Sony used to be about all you'd see for battery's in any Apple laptop, but then they started overheating to the point of combustion  and the mothersh:apple:p jumped into bed with other OEM.

You only get 2.5-3 hours out of that? **** man that's what I get out of my i7 laptop. XD
