glad it started working again for you.
I'm sorry dude, but if you can't afford a $65 hard drive to replace the one you have, you probably shouldn't have spent money on a mac. What are you going to do when a more expensive part breaks? Or if your hard drive goes out again? I just think you should prioritize your spending... if you struggle to find $65, a high end computer is probably not for you. No offense, just real life advice. Kind of like trying to buy a BMW or Mercedes when you can't afford an oil change. Save your money, buy a honda instead.
e. With my experience with PCs, they are super-slow, they have ton of unremovable viruses that made me reinstall (Windows) seven times on my PC that I only had for like 3 years. The only good PCs are super-expensive and very well-built one. The only reason I would consider a PC is to get a second computer for gaming only and to keep my Mac for everything else. But of course, now I can't afford any new PCs as my Mac needs to be repaired.
I am going to try to contact the seller on eBay, then possibly order some suction cups.
Since I am a WD fan, I found this drive for 65$: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822236339
