"scam the system", are you serious? Verizon is scamming it's customers in every way imaginable, we're just being creative.

I agree screw verizon and the system. however iPhone 5 is coming. I definately wouldnt be buying an iphone 4 right now. if my upgrade was due in sept and the iphone 5 came out in july id wait till july then try and screw the system.

If you feel you're being scammed, then why are you still trying to pursue service?

Something doesn't add up here.

Oh, and with your logic, why buy an iPhone at all? If you buy an iPhone 4 now, then the iPhone 5 will come out. But if you buy an iPhone 5, then an iPhone 6 will come out. But wait - if you buy an iPhone 6, the iPhone 7 will come out!

You are exactly the kind of person that Verizon doesn't want as a customer. In fact, I'd imagine you're the kind of person that most companies don't want as a customer.

Not everyone has to have the greatest and latest...
iphone 4 is still very good phone and it will be supported for a while. There is always something new on horizon. If you want iphone now, buy now. I doubt next iphone will be LTE anyway. It will be CDMA again.

We need a Verizon upgrade FAQ or the forum will be flooded with these.

Come to think if it, nobody looks at the FAQs anyway....waste of time.

Here's your soulution.

WAIT UNTIL SEPTEMBER.

Seriously, your life will continue without an iPhone until then. Stop trying to essentially scam the system.

lol because Verizon or all cellphone companies are completely ethical and never screw over their own customers.

Stop crying, I'm just trying to get some advice. I don't need a Tommy Tampon to come in here and ruin this thread's mojo.

I believe you're doing your fair share of crying while stomping your feet and screaming "IT'S NOT FAIR THAT I SIGNED A CONTRACT AND I WANT OUT OF IT SO I CAN HAVE NEW TOYS."

Grow up, please.

There's NOTHING wrong with trying to get Verizon to bend on an early upgrade. Give it a shot and it will not work. They are relentless. Crunch the numbers and probably find out that canceling a line, eating an ETF, or adding a line and unlimited data plan on it will cost you more than the retail price of the iPhone in the long run.

But, jeez why do people have to get all high and mighty and think they are morally superior around this forum? Really.

Anyone here have DirecTV? Ever called them to ask why new customers get certain promos and you don't? They will 99% of the time give you some type of credit to keep you. Crazy I know but, it's called loyalty to a long time customer. Even when the customer HAS signed a contract. Some people have forgotten that without the customer the business is NOTHING.

roflmao, do you see me typing in all caps? I'm asking questions, simple as that. I'm in no way getting bent out of shape here. If there's not realistic way to remedy this situation I'm asking about, then I'll move on and continue my day as planned.

Take your own advice and "grow up".
