I have a 15" MBP. 2010 style, i5 2.4. Plenty of power. Great screen. Can't WAIT to get rid of it. The MBP is great like everyone said it is, plus one extra feature nobody ever mentions. It's ********** hot! Surfing right now in Firefox the CPU temp is 68c with almost 3000 rpm on both fans. It's dead quiet, no complaints about fan noise. But you can cook an egg on the bottom on the rear. Left palm rest area is a bit toasty too over the hard drive. I went to the Apple store today and watched people work the MBA's on display. When they walked away, I checked the heat on the bottom. Not much warmer than room temp. I use the MBP as a laptop, not on a desk. And it is a roaster. I am very close to moving to a 11" MBA.

This pretty much goes without saying, but the Air has a lot less room to cool its components. It's not an issue on a desk or whatever, but it gets pretty darned hot. If that's your concern, I'd go with a Pro for the better heat dissipation if nothing else.

Also bear in mind the last gen Pros used 45nm parts, while the current Pros and Airs use 32nm.
