...I don't have any bug spray with me and everything is closed right now...
If you can't get bug spray try hairspray it might not kill them but their legs go stiff making scoping easy. Works well with flying bugs too, their wings stiffen and they just glide to their death!

If you coat 'em good enough they'll die. I think they suffocate. Works well with Spiders.

There's a spider in my room!!!!

What should I do? I don't wanna squish it because then there's blood all over the place... and I tried to scoop it up and failed!!!!

ARGGGHHHHH..... I think it is behind the book shelves now... I can't sleep with it in there.... HELP!
Leave him alone. They usually will go away.

If you want to attack him, suggest using Lysol cleaner with antiseptic. It works better than Raid, and if you miss, you end up cleaning your room! :D

BTW, it sounds like most on this thread have never spent time in the bush.

Ummm... cleaning my room... not a bad idea.....

I spent the night on the couch that night and now I'm at my bf's parent's house in a different city. I'll just make him deal with it when we get back ;) :p :D

Those bugs are HUGH

That should have been Lysol Antibacterial cleaner vice Lysol cleaner with antiseptic!

Anyhow, it works well. We get some big spiders in Japan. They just laugh at Raid and usually charge the spray. You almost have to soak them to get them to stop. However, Lysol antibacterial cleaner works so much better. It kills them quickly. Same for cockroaches. Works like a champ.

I haven't tried Lysol Antibacterial cleaner on Rhinoceros nor Stag Beetles. See pictures below.

I imagine if I found either one of these beetles that was 2 inches plus, I would just sell it and make some decent scratch. Of course if luck was really with me and I could capture a kuwagata stag beetle over 3 inches I may just take a nice vacation with the funds from the sale.

Those aren't real... they couldn't be!
No. But imagine if they were... Yikes!

I remember hauling hay in my teens. You would be covered with grasshoppers. After a while you get used to their grip on your skin. And they always seem to leave a spit mark which we used to joke was spit from chewing tobacco. We spit and so did the grasshoppers.

Anyhow, if grasshoppers were as big as this picture, I think they would be feasting on man!

I hate bugs.
This thread is gonna give me nightmares.

one time, I had a really bad dream where I was playing my violin, and a cockroach crawled out of the F-hole and onto my face.
I woke up crying.

*looks over thread again*
buhhh! *shudders*

As a youngster, my brother was once startled and frightened by a small pale-colored spider that suddenty crawled out of a pomegranate's stem when our mom put the fruit on the kitchen table for us to try. She tried to convince him that is was just a harmless bug and that it was just random chance that it happened to be in there.

One day soon after, she got another pomegranate for us to try, and guess what happened... Yup, another spider was in there! There was no more convincing my poor brother that his life would ever be safe from pomegranate beasts. I don't think he has gone near a pomegranate since.

P.S. to mad jew: Don't fret about it.

I'm just not gonna ask what an F-Hole is...

and it's right near your face as you play.

JUST IMAGINE BUGS CRAWLING OUT OF IT!

Aggghhhhhhh

I DID have bow mites, though. Caused a crazy bald spot. Happened right during beethoven five rehearsals and concert.. I eventually had to get my case fumigated and bow de-bugged.

and I'm sorry about thread jacking about my nightmare.
(it was really scary, though)

I don't mess with spiders. My mother and brother both got bitten by brown recluse spiders, and almost had to have their limbs amputated. That is still a real possibility with my mother. DO NOT mess with a brown recluse! And if you get bitten, get IMMEDIATE treatment!

Pfft!

Amateurs....

Now if you'll excuse me I have to go shake uncontrollably for about a day or two. Shudders......I hate spiders.
