I'm somewhat disappointed with the 2012 redesign of apple products...(MBP included)

I understand where you're coming from. The macbook pro retina looks very similar to the last generation of macs it will soon replace. Although under the hood apple has made leaps and bounds in the industry with the SSD, cooling, and reworking of internals. The amount to change is pretty minimal because the design was already streamlined. If its not broken don't fix it. The new mpr is by far the best mac released to date and in the best laptop in the industry IMO.
