I just recently upgraded to Tiger on my Sawtooth (see sig). Knowing I would see an increase in CPU usage I went ahead and bit the bullet. Well now my Activity Monitor is showing me a Nice process that has been taking up half of my processing speed for the past half hour. What is going on? Is there a way to see what exactly is running this Nice process?

It's probably Spotlight index your files. Is there disk activity as well?

Yeah i think that's what it was. The disk activity was abnormally high, but now it seems like it's done. Tiger actually seems to take less CPU now. Interesting...
