Cool, excellent. While I was more overweight I tried a combination of personal shoppers and stylists, but in the end realised that personal style pretty much begins before you put your underpants on.

Indeed. I have found that underpants, and any other items of clothing for that matter, are entirely de trop as far as style is concerned.

It looks like you have some good clothing advice. I've always been comfortable in jeans and a turtleneck (and no, this is not a steve jobs thing, I wear darker jeans than he does, and have been wearing this stuff forever). Just an FYI, I'm in the Chicago, and as far as I know, you won't have to worry a ton about being trendy in Hinsdale. Maybe things have changed, but I don't think many people there will be on your case if you're not exactly in the heighth of fashion.
