For those who replaced their drive, anyone notice a performance increase? Just curious. My machine seems to be dragging with slow disk access. Wondering if I should just go ahead and get it replaced.

My 2009 iMac HD was replaced last autumn under this program, the new drive clocked faster on Blackmagic benchmark. But that could've also been due to degradation of the old HD, thus the need for a replacement program.

well I hope everyone got this handled because I think the timeline for getting it free is soon up!!!!

Just got mine back Friday and my mid-2010 iMac runs better than ever. Really glad I did it. I was hesitant at first because there was nothing wrong with my machine except for some occasional waiting on the hard disk in iPhoto etc. But the new drive they put in is a lot quieter and faster.

Exactly my experience. Just got mine back on Wednesday. I was hesitant at first as the old one was running fine, but I can definitely tell that the new one is zippier and quieter.

Glad I did it.
