imac 15" g4 will not accept password

hello i have an imac 15" g4 will not accept password on login. i put the boot cd in and reset the password on both root and my name. yet still nothing reset the passwords twice. still nothing. i did nothing to it i just installed an update and then it just restarted and now password will not accept. it really pissing me off. lol. if someone can help me that would be awesome. thank you ahead time

Nope there not on pass is all number. Tried setting pass to nothing still nothing

Lol, then that sucks, sorry that I can't offer any advice, I don't own any Mac computer product. the only reason I'm in this section is because i want to see everybody and be like "*drools* I want that...if only my parents weren't so mean"
