IMac 17,1 not seeing software updates or able to install manually

Hi, my imac 17,1 won’t see the 005 catslina security update. It has 004 installed. I downloaded the package manually but it just hangs on the processing update screen for hours. Tried resetting pram. What else can I do to sort this?

About software update: have you tried with softwareupdate -l from Terminal? What does it return?
About updating: do you have enough space? You can try to start the installation from Terminal with

sudo installer -verbose -pkg  /Volumes/macOS\ Catalina\ Security\ Update\ 2022-005/SecUpd2022-005Catalina.pkg -target /

and check where it stalls.

75gb available. Tried the terminal thing just hangs on ‘Finding Software Updates’

Try to install from the dmg with the Internet connection turned off.
