When using Disc Utility to burn a DVD, during the burn phase there is noise (off and on), which sounds like an electric razor in a drawer. This is my first time burning a DVD, and I am also new to Macs. Is that noise normal, or is trouble brewing?
Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Hmmm... I wouldn't describe it as an electric razor but there is some noise when you're burning a disk - more like a ball bearing rattling inside a drawer. This is the head being positioned over the tracks.

...my superdrive seems louder than other internal CD-RW's I've had in computers before but no louder than the external DVD-RW drive I currently use on my winXP machines...
