iMac 2011 27 in, will apple store genius work on it?

So I have a 2011 iMac 27 inch and I need apple to load the OS on it (long story). My question is will they actually work on this? Will they charge a fee? Asking for a friend. 🙂

No, a 2011 iMac 27" according to Apple is considered "obsolete" which means they won't work on it. However, any independent Apple service repair would probably work on it. Best to ask first though.

I guess OP doesn't know how to do a fresh install of Mac OS and would like someone else do that for him.

It depends where he lives and how much he is willing to pay.
For instance, if he lived where I live, it would cost him only 23$ to get the full labour service of RAM upgrade + SSD replacement + OS install.

You can download and re install fresh OS by the internet. Just need Wi-Fi connection. YouTube it.

Probably a heath and safety issue as i doubt most weedy geniuses could lift a 2011 iMac onto the testing desk? 🙄
