iMac 2011 temp sensor hack

So according to these two tutorials it's possible to short 2 wires on the SATA power cable to bypass the sensor issue (fans on full thrust after non OEM HD replacement).

Before I start cutting, can someone confirm these are the two wires that need to be cut? Please see photo

A hardware tweak that permanently fixes a problem is far superior over a an app that's OS dependent.

I concur those would be the ones, although haven't tried it myself. I just got the OWC cable itself as figured for ~$30 it wasn't worth the risk or effort.
