Sensor is not needed. Just install Mac's Fan Control and let it start with the mac.

Already covered in post 24 - not something the knowledgeable user tends to employ. You have your view, and that's all it is. If you are content to use a software solution then that has to be your decision. I would however caution against encouraging others to use this more risky procedure.

I use OS X and Windows 10 most days and have nothing but praise for W10 - MS are right back on form with this OS. I'm always prepared to offer praise where it's due.

I don't own Apple goggles.

Neither do I. In fact, my opinion is that all Apple products apart from the iMac are bullsh1t.

On the other hand, I believe their OS is the best one available in the present day, and my past experience with MS's OSs has been a nightmare. My experience has led me to avoid MS products at all costs if possible. Unfortunately with gaming we have to use them at times, this is due to Apple refusing to provide the necessary platform.

Another thing is, you can't buy a crappy pc and plug it in the iMac to use its screen. You have to have Thunderbolt-to-thunderbolt connectivity only, which negates all graphics cards, virtually all pcs and permits only Apple products. More evidence of supreme controller egoistic money grabbing bullsh i t (dunno if the admin will allow this word).

Me neither! That is why I am capable of objectively seeing that OS X is much better than Windows 10.

But hey, you also think a Retina screen is not a big deal, so I guess that explains a lot.

So you know a better tablet, laptop, phone or a smartwatch than those made by Apple?

[Grabs popcorn and soda] Please, do tell.

For the same price range, nothing beats Apple. But if cost is an issue, I do think Android or a Windows laptop will do better.

Agreed, though the Nexus devices are strong competition for the iPhone.

They are not competition and certainly not "strong". They are niche devices that are very nice (probably best Android phones) but aren't even competition for popular Android devices, let alone Apple.

I agree. They can't come close to outselling even LG. I should have been more clear. I was responding to someone asking if there was a device as good as those made my Apple. I meant the Nexus this year are strong competition for best phone. Certainly they won't compete with the iPhone in sales or profit. Apple owns those games.

My badly-explained opinion is that, whilst those products made by Apple are doubtlessly first class in quality and many people like them, they are, for me, pointless. All my needs are served by my iMac. I have a life outside of computers. Thankfully I can control my senses from the insatiable need to check email, update Facebook, do Whatsapp, etc., whilst out of the house.
