imac 2012 ivy bridge vs imac 2013 haswell

    i'm going to buy refurbished imac,i have two choices.one 2012 i5 and 2013 i5 what's recommend to buy and,whats the different between haswell i5 vs ivy bridge i5?

    The Haswell one is newer, of course.

    Generally, it's better to buy the newer one.

    What are the exact specs for both?

    both have 16GB ram and 2012 vga nvidia gtx 675mx(1 gb) and 2013 nvidia gtx 775m(1 gb).

    Are you sure?

    The GTX 775M in the 2013 ones is a 2GB card.

    Which one of them has a Fusion Drive or an SSD?

    Isn't it the 2013 where they switched from SATA to PCIe for SSD (or the SSD part of Fusion) ?

    Yes, the 2012 has SATA while the 2013 has PCIe, which amounts to a noticeable difference in speed.

    I think you can notice the speed difference in benchmarks, but not when using the iMac.
    It's true the 2013 release is better and faster, but it's not huge difference.
    Look at reviews ...
    If it's at the same price, take the 2013 of course.
