I have a 4K 21.5" 2019 iMac that I've set aside for a while as I was / still unable to get video after the chime. Recently I acquired a broken 4K 21.5" 2015 iMac with a broken screen and missing power supply. I repurposed the 2019 iMac parts and the 2015 iMac boots up perfectly (as a side note: you have to use the original eDP video cable from the 2015 iMac and not the one from the 2019 iMac).
What could be wrong with the 2019 iMac logic board? I was always extremely careful removing the eDP video cable. How fragile is the connector on the logic board?
