Hey everyone, i'd love some input.

I am about to purchase the i9 version of the iMac. I'm leaning towards the VESA version as the stand is a little low for me, and i would like the iMac as far as possible from me (i have a music studio desk and the depth isn't huge), but i'm a little concerned about the cooling. Looking at the pictures, half of the vent is hidden by the VESA mount. Do you think that could make it heat even more ? Or louder ?

Cheers,
Al.

I mean to be fair - the stand that normally comes on the iMac blocks the vent more than the VESA mount one does.

I doubt it would have any negative impact. The iMac Pro has a VESA mount option too and those have been fine.

Hum, but looking at this picture, the vent is not blocked. But the VESA version is half blocked...

Perhaps, but the iMac Pro has a better cooling, and extra vents. I don't know, maybe i'm paranoid, but since i'm going to need some good power, i'd hate to have extra noise if i got the VESA version.
