Hello, Sometimes such a problem happens - the image breaks and flickers.

Has anyone solved this? What could be the reason?
Please help me fix it.

This is not always. This happens During normal use or after the screensaver. It works fine 90% of the time. And sometimes this happens. Reboot fix it

This is my iMac late 2012 configuration with OpenLegacy Patcher 2.0.2. Everything was working perfectly and smoothly, but suddenly it started showing screen artifacts. I believe I'm experiencing the same issue as you. I’ve attached a video of the problem.

The graphics processor or memory chips on the video card have fallen off. To repair

Repeated strong heating followed by a sharp cooling in the chips appear micro cracks and oxides, gradually leading to the so-called “falling off” of the chip, when one or more balls lose contact. The reason is simple - to this day Apple thinks with its sciatic, not its head. They've never studied physics. The cooling system is disgusting from an aerodynamic and efficiency point of view.

Only the soldered balls lost contact on a 12-year-old electronic device is good quality? Isn't it?
Much newer iphones and ipads are failing on a daily basis....

Yes, they can desolder over time. One or several - you need to open and look. The main thing is to find good masters, because illiterate and inexperienced will immediately “reboll”.
Where is a good device? Monoblock is a compromise. Victim of a good cooling system. Competent and free arrangement of elements. With limited space, how will you arrange the components? A compact and thin case does not allow for proper heat dissipation without stagnant hot air masses. The cooling system is tiny, the fans are so small that they can blow a hamster in a cage. And he'll run to the air conditioner. Did you learn physics in school or college? Heat always goes up, not down. It's less dense. It's the cold air that comes from below. It's not all gold that glitters.
What does this have to do with an ipad or an iphone? Dropped, smashed, whiskey, run over by a car, left in the sun. There could be other causes, including factory defects.

I don't think it's fair to blame Apple only for a failing computer after 12 or more years working.
Gaming laptop or All-in-One PCs of other manufacturers broke down much sooner, almost right after the warranty expire. They are similar in the defects you mentioned: thermal design.

yes, this is the same problem
Does your mac work correctly on previous versions, example on Bug Sur?
my work fine on Big Sur

An interesting fact is that if you do not use Safari, then there are no screen artifacts
