iMac 21.5 Base - Dashboard Lag

Anyone with the base 21.5 iMac notice any lag during the opening and closing animation of Dashboard? Wondering if its just me or a widespread drawback of having the integrated 9400M graphics?

It's most probably the 9400M. I tried opening Dashboard on a base iMac at my Apple Store and it lagged a lot. Other models seemed OK.

There was a discussion on the Apple support forums a while back regarding this issue on previous iMacs with nvidia GPUs.

My iMac G4 (running Tiger) has smoother Dashboard/Expose animations than my 24" iMac, or just about any Mac that i've played with at the apple store. Not sure why, but its really strange and kind of depressing if you think about it.

New imac

I just purchases an iMac 3.06 and the dashboard widgets appear and disappear instantly when I press the appropriate key on the Wireless Keyboard. 😀

I also have a VERY fast internet connection. Is it possible that the lag that some have noticed is due to getting a Slow internet connection to update the: Time, Weather, Stocks, etc??? 🙄

Might suggest it was a software problem related to Beamsync, but that works too 🙂
