iMac 21.5" - S.M.A.R.T. status failing

    Turned on my iMac this morning to see it running very slow. On boot up there were random pixels all over the screen. I popped into Disk Utility and it appears my hard drive is failing.

    Time to dig out the reciepts and get it repaired...preparing for withdrawal symptoms! :(

    Edit: Just got off the phone and it's going to take two weeks. Apparently they have to find out why it broke?! Er...it's a hard drive they just break sometimes?!

    Yes they can brake at any time, thats why you should have a back up at all times

    Indeedy, it's all safe and sound on external drives. :D
