Hi guys, I'm pretty new in this fantastic forum full of precious information !
I'm going to buy my first iMac (after several years as Windows user) but I'm a little bit confused on the 21.5'' model to buy.
Actually I use my pc in order to do mainly Photoshop retouching, some video editing and very little gaming.
Do you think I can buy the base model or do I need the one with ATI HD 4670 ?
Is this card really better than the on-board 9400 ?
Many thanks for your help !
Lorenzo

I went for the higher spec 21.5" with 1TB of storage in it as like you, I edit a lot of photos and video 🙂 No complaints with it so far.

I don't know if the GPU is involved during 2D retouch or video editing.
As I said I'm not a gamer so maybe the 21.5 base one is enough for me...

Until last November I used a 3 year old 20" iMac which had no trouble with Photoshop, some video, and no games (but ran CAD software under Parallels, which was sortof like a game). Since the 21.5" base model is better/faster in every way, I can't see you having a problem. FYI, I ended up buying the 27" top-end model as a splurge.
