iMac 21 incher

My moms 13 year old iMac finally went to heaven and I want to buy her a new one.

Why are the apple stores not selling them. They are very hard to come by in the retail stores.

Any ideas?

Probably because a refresh is imminent to the new AS iMac which is rumored to come in a 23"/24" size to replace the 21.5". No concrete date for this yet
