iMac 21'5'' - Weird Sound On Boot Up

Hello,

When I boot up my iMac I have noticed weird sound (1 sec crunch-crunch sound) comming from optical drive like the he is checking if any optical media is inside the drive.

It does not happen when hes in sleep mode and I wake up him.

Is it normal?

I get A Clicking

On my 27" but not the crunching sound you describe. Id be inclined to get that checked.

The greeting music, then audible clicks from the optical drive is normal.🙂
