Hi all!

a friend of mine gave me a broken imac 24",
and i would like to recycle the power supply for another project,
however i don't know the pinout, well i could easilly find the Vcc with voltmeter,
I just need to know which pin will switch on the unit,
and if it's a "connect to Vcc" or "connect to ground" system

here some more
ref. SADP-220AF (A1200)
24v@4A and 12V@10,3A

a few pics

cheers

most of these units are short-to-ground style activation. There are unfortunately no manuals or information available for this model regarding pin outs. The sure fire sign is that there will be a 5v pin that is hot. Try sending that one to ground. Worst case scenario is you burn out the dead power supply.

thanks for your answer ryguy,

as i'm not a mac user, i have no idea about this kind of PSU,
and i've read many times on the internet about other imac power unit, that it turns on with Vcc applied,
and not ground applied (as on PC PSU),
also, as it is a pretty good PSU, i'm not really kind to try my chance and maybe burn it out...
