iMac 24 and RAM?

Im thinking of getting a new 24 iMac dual,
I have a 20" iMac 1.8 first gen now, with 1.5 G RAM, can I pull the 1 G RAM stick and use in the new iMac dual?

...and is RAM very expensive right now, I bought the 1 G stick 6 months ago for about $200...

No, the RAM is completely incompatible.

I recommend OWC and DMS...great companies that know Macs, have great products, and have great customer service. 1 GB sticks with lifetime warranties are going for about $125 at both places.

$30 less than from the links above, works great. I have it in my Macbook works like a charm. My Macbook is a lot faster now that I have this in it.

Yes, except the bottom of the line one does not support the 3 Gb total possible with 1 Gb + 2 Gb modules.
