I'm ready to throw this iMac at the wall... scratch that, at the Apple service technician. Multiple issues with my 2.4GHz 24" Aluminum iMac. It's been serviced twice now for the same issues and everything is still there! Issues: - Finder error -600 keeps coming up - Finder freezes - Pages hangs and quits - Superdrive noises (thinks there's a disc to suck in but there isn't) - Rejects discs on and off - 7 grey reset screen crashes in 1 week - iTunes video playback skips - AirPort constantly randomly disconnects - Screen ghosting - Black lines of screen All these constant issues are driving me nuts! The lines on the screen have been there since I got the computer in August '07. So far the Apple service car has replaced the Optical drive, the video card and the Superdrive cord. The guys at Computers Now in Malvern, Melbourne have been so rude and always delay the repairs. The first was suppose to be 2 days and took over a week. Should I just get a replacement through Apple? Suggestions? Thanks so much!
