Hi there.
wonder if any one has come across this before.
My Imac 24" late 2008 CPU fan stopped working.
so ordered another and that does not work either.
Imac works fine except it gets hot after a while, I need to keep an eye on cpu temperature via app.

I have reset smc no difference.

any ideas?;)

24" iMac no CPU fan

fan connector failure: check the connector pins of the fan connector on the logic board, maybe it is dusty or blocked otherwise the fan connector can be faulty or damaged

cpu fan driver unit has a failure

the replacement fan is faulty too or you did not connected the fan well

momentarily i have no more ideas

it is the most important fan of your iMac if it is not working properly you have a good chance to cook the core 2 duo..
